Aguacate Lagoon
Aguacate Lagoon is a well kept public park located in Spanish Lookout, Belize. If you enjoy birding, hiking, canoeing, or just relaxing in the jungle, Aguacate Lagoon is a good option for you.
The lake is equipped with a floating dock, making it easy to board canoes and other watercraft.
There is a roof close to the shore of the lake, which provides shade and shelter from rain, with a beautiful view of the lake.
You can find several open air fireplaces in the park, and a fireplace and picnic table under the roof which makes it a great place for a roast with family or friends.
For those that enjoy hiking, the park has quite a few trails to explore the wildlife. There are also a few untouched Mayan Ruins hidden in the jungle.
Aguacate Lagoon is probably one of the best birding destinations in the area. The water attracts quite a few species of birds, and also the jungle, which has birding/hiking trails throughout the park.
